It's When Your Success Matters!
My soul felt peaceful as I drove through the wooded back-roads in rural Florida. I was running late for an appointment with a prospective client. My car window down, I could hear the orchestra of Mother Nature.
As I drove around the bend in the road, I saw an old farmhouse. It had a wraparound front porch with two rocking chairs. This scene reminded me of my Grandma's home where I spent many happy summers while on school break. Getting out of the car, I heard the screech of the screen door open. The farmer and his wife came out to greet me.
He picked up a chair in the front yard and brought it to the porch. We talked about the beauty of his farm as we rocked in our chairs. The peacefulness suddenly changed to sadness when the farmer made the comment that his life had felt empty for forty years. His wife dropped her head with tears streaming down her face.
I quietly listened as he shared the following story. Many years ago he worked with a good friend named Ray Kroc. One afternoon after work Mr. Kroc asked the farmer to invest ten thousand dollars in a new business venture.
He thought about how he and his wife saved exactly ten thousand dollars and needed to invest the money. Excited about this new venture the farmer hurried home to share the good news with his wife. He anticipated she would share his excitement, instead she reacted with anger. She absolutely would not let her husband take their savings and squander the money on some crazy nonsense.
Ray Kroc found investors he needed, and we know the rest of the story. The farmer continued to work at the same place the majority of his life. Now he and his wife were living on Social Security with no investments. With tears in his eyes, he said the day that he told Ray Kroc he couldn't invest the money was the day he lost hope for any success in life. Instead of following his gut feeling, he allowed his wife’s anger to steal his dream.
We must be aware of the three voices we hear whispering in our ears; voice of defeatism, voice of enthusiasm, and voice of rationalism. Phantoms of defeatism instill in us fear, guilt, shame, and hopelessness. We allow them to take a very personal, private part of who we are. Even though we own the gift of choice to create a life of fulfillment, we cave to the negative and dark energy of Phantoms, or the poor judgment of non-risk. The consequence is loss of our hopes and dreams.
We have the gift of hope. Used correctly we can look directly into the light of Gratefulness and take back our enthusiasm to grow our dream.
The Golden Key to unlocking the door for success is to create a new positive habit daily, which usually takes about thirty days. Use the key every morning and thank God for blessings. At night before sleeping thank God for blessings to come. Within thirty days there will be significant change in our lives. Gratefulness works. Go on give it a try.
Did you lose your dream because of fear, or fear of risk? The fact is your dream is still alive within your consciousness. It only needs awakening. You can still live your dream, regardless of age, stage, or condition. http://www.lovebasedrelationships.com
